Just a List: Fun Fall Activities

I don't know about you, but I always think of activities to do while I'm busy doing something else.  When it comes time to plan a fun adventure, my mind goes blank and I have a hard time remembering all the activities that I've been wanting to do.  Writing lists helps me to centralize and remember all my ideas - I use them for EVERYTHING!
Today I share with you a list of fun Fall activities to enjoy with a date, your family, your friends, loved ones, or even yourself!  Go ahead and escape on a cozy, Fall day!

Outdoor Activities with Some Travel:
  • Go apple picking
  • Visit a pumpkin patch
  • Scare your pants off at a haunted house - check out Haunt World to find one near you
  • Go camping
  • Drive on a road trip - it doesn't need to last over a day!
  • Find a local hayride - haunted ones are even more silly and enjoyable!
  • Rent ATV's and go for a bumpy ride
  • Go horseback riding
  • Visit your nearest botanic garden to see the colors
  • Strengthen your arm muscles by kayaking
  • See the animals at the zoo - Fall's cooler weather makes the animals livelier and weakens the smell
  • Relax by fishing on the lake...or just rent a boat and relax
  • Find your nearest small town and research their town events - many usually have festive days planned during this season
  • Get lost in a corn maze

Outdoor Activities - Local
  • Have a picnic at the beach or park
  • Enjoy a game of tennis, minigolf, or badminton
  • Hike on nature walking trails
  • Go for a long bike ride - maybe drive to a new trail or location and start from there
  • Explore new areas and meet new friends by Geocaching - great for the adventurous souls
  • Stay out and watch the stars - you may need to go somewhere remote to enjoy them if you live in a busy city
  • Fly a kite in the Autumn breeze
  • Create a fall scavenger hunt - set up teams and see who can find all the Fall-themed items on the list the fastest

Outdoor Activities - In Your Yard
  • Have a bonfire with s'mores - you can even try making a whole bonfire meal
  • Throw a Frisbee or play catch
  • Set up a croquet course in your yard - I recommend buying a croquet set because they are perfect ways to entertain the whole family
  • Pitch a tent in your yard and enjoy the night
  • Rake the leaves and see who could make the biggest pile - jumping in them is a must

Indoor Activities - At Home
  • Have a board game night...or entire day - snacks are a must
  • Cuddle up to a scary movie, in the dark of course
  • Organize your pictures that have been sitting in a box by putting them in an album or scrapbook.  You can even make a Shutterfly book
  • Watch home videos with your family and enjoy the memories
  • Throw a costume party
  • Throw a "Fall foods" party - everyone brings their favorite Fall recipe
  • Read a book together

Indoor Activities - Out of the House
  • Cheer on your state's hockey team or football team
  • Have a friendly rival game of bowling or laser tag
  • Test your accuracy by paintballing
  • Learn something new at a museum
  • Go to your local craft or hobby store - they always have seasonal items that inspire you!

Crafty Ideas
  • Carve a pumpkin, paint a pumpkin, even decorate one with glitter!
  • Take pictures of Fall scenery to use for collages, albums, or Autumn-themed decor
  • Bake a pie, some muffins, or a crumble using fall ingredients - then eat them, just not all once
  • Create a Fall-themed wreath - your local craft stores have everything to get you started
  • Collect acorns, pinecones, and pretty leaves to use for decoration - simply filling a bowl of acorns does the trick or maybe decorate a picture frame with them
  • Make a hot chocolate bar with marshmallows, chocolate pieces, whip cream, or whatever else you like
  • Draw or print out an image of a cornucopia along with some paper fruits and vegetables.  Tape the cornucopia to the wall.  Every day, have every family member write what they are thankful for on a fruit/veggie, and stick it to the cornucopia.  By Thanksgiving, it should be completely filled with all the blessings your family has!
  • Make homemade caramel apples
  • Check out my Fall Crafts Pinterest Board - I've collected Fall-themed ideas for decor, DIY, and inspiration that I love, all made by very creative crafters.  Included are ideas for both you and your family to enjoy - check it out!
